Looking forward to meeting the little guy Lisa's been working so hard to keep safe. #babyhouse #39weeks
2014…
As you might notice I don't blog much. It's partly due to the fact I'm usually running around shooting and don't have a lot of time but also I think I feel (perhaps unnecessarily) obligated to write something creative to go along with the imagery. Thinking the 2015 New Year's resolution will be to post more and write less? We'll see. I'll work on it.
Anyway, this year was full of surprises- the biggest and the best one being Lisa & I got pregnant and she's due pretty much any day now. I also ended up back in NY for a couple of months for work. I'll admit, I love NY but I was pretty damn happy to be able to come back to our little Venice Beach bungalow after all was said and done. I also get to accompany my wife and the rest of the artists in The Wedding Artists Collective to shoot the Palm Springs "Collective Gatherings". It was held at Korakia in Palm Springs.. if you haven't ever been, do yourself a favor check it out.
Alight, alright.... that's enough out of me. Happy New Year's to all from Lisa & I. We'll be thinking about you and looking forward to working together in 2015.
Liquid & Light
Here are some "sketches" for an on going project I call "Liquid & Light". The goal is to pay homage to the pioneers of surf photography. I've been taking a few cameras with me on surf trips throughout out the last year. By restricting myself to the simplest cameras I'm forced to make the most of the elements as they exist.
Korakia Pensione
Lisa and I have been here 3 times in the past two years. I think it's safe to say we're big fans of this place. If you find yourself in the Palm Springs area I'd highly recommend you take a few days to enjoy the calm and peace of Korakia. Enjoy.
Surfboard Build, Part 1.
I had the chance to spend a week at Grain Surfboards building a 10-foot longboard.
